long,long weekend.

fuuh..it's been a crazy weekend so far,there's always something to do here in Chicago,i'm so dead tired right now from walking and travelling and sight-seeing and shopping and chilling and eating :P

we're on a long holiday from friday 3rd june up till monday because of the Independence Day, and we're quite lucky to be here this time around in United States to witness the events and happenings throughout the celebration.

it's a nice bachelor's pad with one bedroom,a kitchen,a living room,a walk-in wardrobe(i know she gonna love this),a bathroom and a closet where the dryer and washing machine are.

okay,now back to the story.we left to downtown Chicago after brunch(i had a super yummy cheese omelette with mushrooms),and the crowd was really crazy,even crazier than the Taste we went last weekend.after 45 minutes of walking,we finally reach the Navy Pier,which is situated along Chicago's shoreline of Lake Michigan.

we reach there around 3pm,so basically we have to roam around there and wait until 9pm to see the fireworks.there's nothing much to do here,so we just chill around the area and enjoy the weather and sunshine to kill the time :)

after a while we got hungry, and we got ourselves the famous Garrett popcorn (http://www.garrettpopcorn.com), which is a trademark of Chicago.it was seriously tantalizing,and i can't get enough of the Caramel Crunch popcorn :P

we each bought 4 different flavours; i bought caramel crisp,brenda bought cheesecorn(which she regret buying and ended up giving me all of them),rajjiv bought buttery and nantha bought the chicago mix.

it was chewy,super sweet and really really delicious and crunchy and omg i'm lost for words!!! :P

after we got the popcorns,we scout around for a place to chill while waiting for the fireworks to start,and the crowd starting to gather up,i think i saw it in the news that almost 1.2 million gathered around the city to see the pyrotechnic display.finally,it's 9pm,and suddenly the music starts,and....

i wanna update summore,but i am so sleepy right now from the trip to the retail outlet(it's adi 3am,and i gotta wake up by 8am..haihs),tomorrow we're going out to downtown again to go to the museums and stuffs.more updates coming up :)
